Des Moines River Kennel Health Guarantee

Thank you for your purchase from Des Moines River Kennel (DRK). We strive to provide quality, healthy, happy, well socialized pets. We offer a life-threatening congenital guarantee for the first year of your puppy’s life. It is my opinion that any serious condition will present within the first couple months of life. Understand that this is only life-threatening conditions. For example, malformations of the lung, liver, or heart. DRK must be notified immediately of any life-threatening congenital condition of purchased puppy. We reserve the right to choose euthanasia or to have the puppy to be returned to DRK at the buyer’s expense. Any puppy euthanized prior to contact with DRK voids this guarantee. If needed the said puppy will have a necropsy performed by a licensed veterinarian at the buyer’s expense. DRK has the right to access all medical information regarding said puppy.

Examples of conditions not covered (just a sample list):

  • Hypoglycemia - dehydration - diarrhea

  • Parasitic infection - skin infections

  • Cherry eye - or under bite

  • Deafness - Blindness

  • Hip dysplasia - Hernias

  • Any condition that is not a life-threatening congenital condition.

  • We do not guarantee the size, color, or breeding capability.

If your puppy was not microchipped by DRK we reserve the right to DNA testing at buyer’s expense to ensure the integrity of DRK puppies.

The provisions of the guarantee shall be interpreted and constructed in accordance with laws and statutes of the state of Missouri. The venue for any litigation concerning this guarantee will be limited to Clark County, Missouri under a non-jury proceeding.

At any time, the new owner is unable or unwilling to continue to care for the puppy the owner agrees to contact Des Moines River Kennel to assist them with rehoming. The new owner agrees that the DRK puppy is never to be relinquished to a shelter or rescue.

Des Moines River Kennel is not responsible for any bills including medical, dental, and vet expenses accrued by the buyer. We offer a replacement puppy of equal sex, registration, quality, etc. We do not give refunds, only replacements. The sale contract is nontransferable. Any relinquishment of said puppy deems this contract null and void. Feel free to contact us at any time during the life of your puppy. We are always happy to hear from past puppy owners.

Puppy is sold as pet only (no registration) unless prior arrangements have been made with breeder.
